79TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT MORIGAON TARUN RAM PHUKAN PLAYGROUND

Today, on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, a glorious event was centrally organized at the Tarun Ram Phukan playground in Morigaon district, where the honorable Minister of Assam's Water Resources, Social Justice and Empowerment, Information and Public Relations Department, Pijush Hazarika, hoisted the National flag to inaugurate the event. During the momentous occasion of Independence Day, the Minister congratulated the public and, at the beginning of his speech, paid deep homage to the great leaders of independence and to the thousands of brave sons who dedicated their lives to preserving the Nation's integrity. He emphasized that today signifies unity, pride, and self-respect for all of us. In the speech, he presented a brief overview of various welfare measures and successes undertaken by the Government of India and the Assam Government in the past year. He also mentioned that the government is committed to continuing the overall Development of Morigaon District and urged everyone to come together to move forward. At the end of the program, awards are given to the winning teams and categories of the fancy dress and emblem painting competition. Additionally, several individuals and organizations are also honored. Today's event is attended by the Minister's wife and prominent actress Aimi Baruah along with her family. Also present are Ramakanta Deuri, the MLA of Morigaon constituency and Chairman of the Bhuyam Janajati Development Corporation, Municipal Chairman Jogesh Tamuli, Superintendent of Police Hemanta Kumar Das, District Development Commissioner Arpa Baglari, Additional District Commissioner Anusuya Sharma and Nitisha Bora, Additional Superintendent of Police, Circle Officers, Assistant Commissioners, and prominent individuals from various fields.
