Daily Traffic Jams in Front of Convent School Cause Major Inconvenience
Saturday, 3 August 2024
Ganjbasoda (Sudarshan Today, Nitish Kumar): The daily traffic jam in front of Bharat Mata Convent School, located near SDPM Niwas, has become a significant nuisance for local residents. The situation becomes particularly dire when school gets out at 1:30 PM, leading to one of the city's busiest streets, Berot Road, being clogged for hours. This has become a routine scenario, much to the dismay of the citizens.
Parents waiting to pick up their children face constant fear of accidents. Despite having ample parking space within the school premises, the administration has students' vehicles parked along the roadside. This leads to a chaotic mess of auto-rickshaws and other vehicles parked haphazardly, waiting for students, further exacerbating the congestion.
Residents complain that this frequent traffic jam leads to unnecessary delays, causing regular traffic disruptions that last for hours. They suggest that the school should utilize its internal parking facilities more efficiently to alleviate the issue. They also propose that auto-rickshaws and other vehicles should not be allowed to park on the roadside and instead should be directed to designated parking areas.
The traffic police need to be more vigilant and manage the traffic flow more effectively during these peak hours. Immediate action is required to ensure the smooth functioning of traffic and to prevent any accidents in this busy area.
