NASA Astronauts Have Departed The I.S.S. And Begun Their Journey To Reach Earth :: Went in Boeing Starliner.. Coming in SpaceX capsule.. After 286 days, NASA Astronauts made their return journey.

New York, March 18, AIMA Media News: --- Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams will land on the ground in a few hours. Along with Sunita Williams, who was in space for 286 days, Wilmore (NASA Astronauts) also made their return journey from the space station today. Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore.. went to the space station on June 5, 2024. They made that journey by Boeing Starliner. But due to a technical problem, the NASA astronauts, who were supposed to stay there for 8 days, had to stay at the International Space Center for 9 months.

Boeing Starliner is a new spacecraft. Astronauts were sent to space to test it. But after going to the space station, technical problems arose in the Starliner. Helium leaked. The thrusters did not work properly. This made it known that the Starliner was not safe for the return journey. The Starliner spacecraft returned to Earth without the astronauts. After a gap of two months, efforts to bring the astronauts back began in August. Officials announced that the attempt would be made by SpaceX in March.

At that time, Williams and Wilmore were immersed in their studies at the space station. They did spacewalks. They talked on video calls. They educated to children about their space life. Now, the astronauts have returning to Earth via SpaceX's Dragon capsule. Along with Sunita and Wilmore, two others are also returning to Earth via that Dragon capsule.

NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbanov are on their return journey in the Dragon capsule. The two went to the space station for a six-month mission in September last year. However, since their six-month space exploration has been completed, they are also making the return journey along with Sunita and Wilmore. The Dragon capsule will land on Earth at 10 pm tonight according to Greenwich Mean Time. That means Sunita will touch down on the ground at 4 am according to Indian Time.

Usually, astronauts stay on the space station for only a year. But Wilmore and Sunita.. have been there for 9 months. This will increase the impact of space on their bodies. Even if they exercise for a few hours every day on the ISS, due to the weightless environment, they are at risk of losing bone density. There is a chance that the bones will become thinner. There is also a possibility of reducing body fat. Blood circulation will also become difficult due to the effect of gravity. There is a possibility that eye problems will arise due to fluid flow. There will also be radiation effects on the astronauts.

The Dragon capsule undocked from the space station a few moments ago. The capsule will touch down on Earth after a 17-hour journey.
