Bidar to Aurad bus catches fire.

This scariest incident happened on 19th march 2025.
A bus operated by the State-owned Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) accidentally caught fire near Kappekeri village in Aurad taluk of Bidar district on Wednesday.

There were, however, no causalities.

As per information provided by the local authorities, the bus, attached to the Aurad Depot and arriving from Bidar, developed technical glitches when it approached Kappekeri and began emitting heavy smoke from its engine.
All the 40 passengers are safe. When it was found that smoke was emanating from the engine, the driver asked the passengers to alight from the bus. Since all the passengers moved away from the bus when it caught fire, there was no untoward incident,” KKRTC Depot Manager in Aurad Rajendra told media representatives.
