1st North East Festival for the Deaf Held in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh

The 1st North East Festival for the Deaf, organized by the North East Federation of the Deaf and hosted by the All Arunachal Pradesh Deaf Association, took place at Birri near Seeh Lake, Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh. The event aimed to promote inclusivity, awareness, and empowerment for the deaf community across the North East region.

Ms. Himani Meena, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Ziro, Lower Subansiri district, attended the program as a witness to the initiative. The festival served as a platform for advocacy, cultural exchange, and discussions on accessibility, fostering greater social integration for individuals with hearing impairments.
