
Kurmis New committee of East Singhbhum district formed
Jitendra Kumar became president, Shambhu Sharan became general secretary.
Jamshedpur: Meeting of Jharkhand Kurmi Mahasabha was organized in Arshiwad Bhawan located in Chhota Govindpur. It was presided over by Jharkhand Kurmi Mahasabha state president Kumeshwar Mahato.
In the meeting, first of all the old committee of East Singhbhum district was dissolved. Later elections were held for the formation of new committee. Elections were conducted under the supervision of election officers Bhuvaneshwar Mahato and Ram Lal Mahato. All the candidates were elected unopposed. Since no other candidate filed nomination for the post of president and other posts, as a result all were elected unopposed.
Jitendra Kumar was elected unopposed for the post of district president, Shambhu Sharan as general secretary and Ramashish Singh for the post of treasurer. On the other hand, in the youth committee, Nitesh Kumar was elected as president, Akash Kumar Singh as general secretary and Uday Prasad as treasurer.
In the program, Jharkhand Kurmi Mahasabha's state president Kumeshwar Mahato threw light on the unity of the organization, the responsibilities and duties of the office bearers and the future plans. He informed everyone about the progress being made towards the construction of Kurmi Mahasabha's own building in Ranchi.
Madhulike Mehta while speaking in the program, said that no family can run without women, then why is the participation of women in the organization negligible? When we talk about equality, then where are the women of our society? The enlightened people of the society will have to think about this.
She said that the people of the society should give up the women of their own house.
State General Secretary Kashinath Mahato, former District President Ashok Mandal, Dharmendra Prasad, Advocate Nirmal Kumar Singh, Vishram Prasad, Chandra Mohan Chaudhary and many people of Kurmi society were present. Shailesh Kumar, Ramashish Singh, Shambhu Sharan, Amod, Anil Singh, Rajiv, Rahul, Nitesh Kumar, Uday Prasad, Vinay Singh, Gautam, Jaideep Chaudhary, Sanjay Singh, Dinesh Singh, Manoj Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Ajit Kumar and others had a commendable contribution in making the program successful.
