Furqan Attacked with Chopper in Topsia Bagan Bari in Front of Police: Topsia Police Refuses to File FIR, Family in Fear

In a shocking incident from Kolkata’s Topsia area, a young man named Furqan was brutally attacked with a chopper (sharp weapon) in the Bagan Bari locality — reportedly in the presence of police personnel. Despite the seriousness of the attack, the Topsia Police allegedly refused to register an FIR filed by the victim’s family.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred in broad daylight, leaving Furqan severely injured. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. His family, shaken and fearful, has accused the police of inaction and shielding the attackers. “We went to the police station multiple times, but they kept delaying and ultimately refused to register our complaint,” Furqan’s elder brother told the media.
