70-Year-Old Woman Found Dead by Hanging in Hee Goan; No Foul Play Suspected

A 70-year-old woman, was found hanging in the storeroom of her house at Hee Goan on Thursday morning. The body was discovered by a 16-year-old family member.
Officials, led by SDM Dentam Nanda Kumar Karki, conducted an inquest in the presence of legal guardians and local witnesses. The body was later sent for post-mortem at District Hospital Gyalshing and handed over to the family.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased had been suffering from a prolonged illness, including UTI. No foul play has been suspected. The case has been registered under FIR 14/2025, U/S 194 of BNSS, 2023, and is under investigation.
