Capital University, Sikkim Observes 11th International Yoga Day

Jorethang, Sikkim — Capital University, Jorethang, Sikkim, actively participated in the 11th International Yoga Day celebration held on 21st June 2025, under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

The event was organized by the Naya Bazar–Jorethang Nagar Panchayat in collaboration with The Art of Living, Jorethang and witnessed wide participation from educational institutions, civil society, and local residents.

Honourable MLA Shri Madan Cintury graced the occasion as a special guest, encouraging the participants to adopt yoga as a part of their daily lifestyle. He emphasized the importance of yoga in enhancing both physical and mental well-being and applauded the community for coming together in such large numbers to support a noble cause.

Faculty members, staff, and students of Capital University were prominently present and participated in various yoga asanas, reflecting their commitment to holistic health and wellness. The university's involvement underscored its dedication to national and global wellness initiatives.
