NEW YORK Passes the bill to ban retails of non-domesticated birds in NY Pet stores.

NEW YORK ALERT!

Big step forward for our feathered friends - A8327, the bill to ban retail sales of non-domesticated birds in NY pet stores, has just been introduced in the NYS Assembly!

This milestone wouldn't be possible without the powerhouse collaboration between World Animal Protection US and Voters For Animal Rights, joining forces to reshape the future for birds across the state. Together, we're turning public outcry into meaningful action.

A heartfelt thank you to Assembly Member @lindabrosenthal_67 for championing this legislation and fighting for animals. Her leadership is proof that compassion and policy can work hand in hand.

New York is taking a major step toward ending the wild bird trade—and we're just getting started.

We're working on getting the bill introduced in the state senate. Stay tuned for how you can help move the bill forward!
