
Ten lakhs for Baisakh Mela and One and half crores for development
The temple authority has expressed gratitude to the state government for the government's assistance to Shri Shri Nrusinghanath Temple in Bargarh district. On this occasion, under the supervision of Bargarh Lok Sabha MP Pradeep Purohit, Temple Executive Officer Purushottam Pradhan, Mela Committee members Sanjiv Majhi, Satya Behera, Lochan Padhan and others went to Bhuneswar and expressed gratitude to the state government. In this context, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was presented with a photo of the temple along with a souvenir. MP Purohit shed light on the uniqueness of the Baisakh Mela that has been held since ancient times, the greatness of the holy Nrusinghanath Peetha, where thousands of people gather every day, its legend, the importance of Gandhamardan Mountain, etc. After discussing for a long time, Chief Minister Shriman Majhi said that even bigger steps will be taken for the development of the said Peetha. In this regard, Odisha Culture Minister Suryavanshi Suraj was also presented with a photo of the temple along with an invitation. Minister Suraj expressed his happiness that a special delegation had come to Bhubaneswar to express his gratitude and said that he would work dedicatedly for the temple. Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena was also thanked for accepting the invitation and participating in the Baisakh Mela. It is worth noting that during the last Baisakh Mela, various ministers and government officials of the state ministries, including the Chief Minister, Culture Minister, were invited. At that time, the government promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh for the first time. Along with this, the government has provided a grant of Rs 1.5 crore for the development of Shri Shri Nrusinghanath Peeth. Therefore, the people of the region have expressed happiness for the government's development attitude towards this Peeth.
