Malda District Police recovered huge amount of Brown Sugar from 3 places viz, Baishnabnagar, Golapganj and Kaliachak.

On basis of a secret source information officer aand force of Baishnabnagar Police Station conducted a raid near 18 mile on NH -12 and apprehended two persons. The accused names are
Chotan Mandal (32 years), S/O - Rajen Mandal, of Shuklaltola, under Kaliachak Police Station, Dist. Malda, who arrived at the spot on a motorcycle and another person name is Sanatan Mandal (23 years), S/O- Sentu Mandal, of Mandai, under Baishnabnagar Police Station, Dist. Malda, who came to spot on a Toto. Police recovered Approximately 350 grams of brown sugar (Narcotic) which approximately market vallu asper exice scale is ₹30 lakh, from their possession while the being handed over from Chotan Mandal to Sanatan Mandal.On preliminary interrogation, Chotan Mandal disclosed that he had procured the contraband from Gopalpur under Golapganj area to handed over to Sanatan Mandal and both are being taken into police custody.

On the Second incident on 22.06.25 Officer-in-Charge, Golapganj under
Kaliachak Police Station with force conducted up raid at Sahilapur Ghoshpara and apprehended three persons namely (1) Abdul Rasid @ Altar (30yrs) S/O Janabur SK of Bamontola, P.O Sahabajpur, (2) Sanaul Hoque (21yrs) S/O Farijuddin of Sardah, PO- Golapganj and (3) Rajikul Islam (21yrs) S/O Bablu SK of Kharibona, P.O Sosani, all are of under. Kaliachak Police Station, Dist. Malda with one TVS motor cycle.Observing all formalities recovered/seized total 06 plastic packets containing of brown coloured powder suspected to be brown sugar, total 606 grams which approximately value -50 lakhs and arrested the persons. A specific case has been started and they are being taken into police custody.

Another incident happen on based upon source information, on 23.06.25 Kaliachak Police team conducted a raid at Kaliachak Chowrasta foot path near Grand Hotel. Police recovered huge amount of Brown Sugar from 3 places approximately 502 grams of suspected brown sugar, divided into 5 packets.Two accused namely
Chhotelal Yadav, (43yrs)S/O Lt. Asrafi Yadav, Ward No.12, Rajani Goth, under Murliganj Police Station, Dist- Madhepura, Bihar and the second person is Abdul Wohab Mahaldar, (32Yes)S/O Lt. Naimuddin Mahaldar R/O Silampur Mahaldarpara, PO-Bahadurpur, under Kaliachak Police Station, Dist-Maldah were arrested. The accused revealed the involvement of others who are also being pursued.A specific case has been registered and the accused are being taken into Police custody.
