Garib Kalyan O Bikas program held

Union Education Minister and State Higher Education, Sports and Culture Minister laid the foundation
On the occasion of the first year of the state government, a Poor Welfare and Development Conference was held at the local RMC grounds today. The meeting was attended by the Honorable Union Education Minister Dhamendra Pradhan as the chief guest and the Honorable Minister of State, Higher Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Shri Suryavansi Suraj as the guest of honor. They laid the foundation stones of a total of 16 projects worth Rs. 220.7 lakh and informed the people about the achievements of the Odisha Government in one year and various steps taken by the Odisha Government for the development of Bargarh. They honored the individuals of the district who have made significant contributions in various fields and provided various government facilities to the deserving beneficiaries.
It is worth noting that, in the program, the foundation stone of the District Cultural Bhavan was laid at an estimated cost of Rs. 145.8 lakh by the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, and a mini stadium was built at Jamurda under the Sports and Youth Services Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 800.0 lakh, and a total of 16 projects were laid under the Higher Education Department for the improvement of various educational institutions and colleges in the district, including 14 projects with a total estimated cost of Rs. 1261.9 lakh.
On this occasion, the Honorable MP, Bargarh Pradeep Purohit, along with Honorable MLA Bargarh Ashwini Kumar Sadangi, Honorable MLA Atabira Nihar Ranjan Mahanand, Honorable MLA Jharsuguda Tankadhar Tripathi, Honorable MLA Bhatli Irashis Acharya, and Honorable MLA Bijepur Sanat Kumar Gadatia were present on the stage and presented the report card of the government's one year achievements. Uttaranchal IG Himanshu Kumar Lal, District Magistrate Aditya Goyal and Security Officer Shri Prahalladsahayi Meena were also present on the stage.
The chief guest and all the distinguished guests honored the successful women farmer of the district, Mrs. Manikya Pradhan of Kurla village, as well as the successful Subhadra beneficiary, Samarpita Raut, successful Lakshpati Didi Anjali Mahakur, international junior level athlete Shriman Maharana, branch medal winner in the National Yoga Competition Ranjita Bhue and Dibyasha Pradhan, who received two-wheeler mechanism training from Japan. They also provided government facilities work orders to Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana beneficiary Jayan Nag, Ayushman Vayo Vandana Yojana beneficiary Suresh Pani, Antyayodaya Griha Yojana beneficiary Basanti Karna and Sushma Triyakar. They also distributed Rs. 1,61,280/- and 2,500 metric tons of winter wheat to Mrs. Gandharvi Sahu under the Chief Minister's Kamdhenu Yojana. 3,07,780/- subsidy/assistance amount of Rs. 3,07,780/- was provided to R. Shaikiran, owner of Sai Cold Storage Bargarh, for 50% discount on the electricity cost of the warehouse.

In addition, as a token of gratitude for the grand organization and success of the world famous Bargarh Dhanu Yatra, the President of the Festival Committee, District Collector and Secretary Sureswar Satpathi, presented the Dhanu Yatra Coffee Table Book and Souvenir Dhanusprabha to the chief guest and guests of honor. Finally, the District Rural Development Officer, Lalat Kumar Luha, expressed his gratitude to everyone.
