Van Mahotsav Program at Metpanjra

A grand tree plantation program was organized today at Gram Vikas Vidyalaya and Junior College, Metpanjra on the occasion of Van Mahotsav Week. The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Vaishali Talatule. The chief guest was Forest Guard Officer Ms. P. P. Pagar Madam from the Social Forestry Department, Katol. Forest Guards Mr. Patil and Mr. Gaikwad, as well as Green Army Coordinator Mr. Lakhote Sir, were also present.

The program began with the dignitaries welcoming everyone by presenting seeds of various trees. After this, the dignitaries addressed the students and attendees, emphasizing the importance of the environment, the benefits of tree plantation, and urging everyone to plant at least one tree. During the guidance session, the significance of tree conservation for environmental protection was highlighted.

Following this, a tree rally was taken out from the school premises through Metpanjra village. Students, teachers, and non-teaching staff carried placards with trees and delivered messages about environmental protection. After the conclusion of the rally, tree plantation was carried out in the school premises and various locations in the village.

There was enthusiastic participation from the students in the program. Under the initiative 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (A Tree in Mother's Name), everyone planted a tree in their mother's name. On this occasion, various types of fruit trees, flowering plants, and shade-giving trees were planted.

The program was compered by Ms. Madankar Madam, and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. More Sir. This initiative has created awareness about environmental conservation among the students, and with the area turning greener, a sense of satisfaction prevailed everywhere.
