Peace Dialogue with Law Minister from South Korea by HWPL Representativ

Representatives of the South Korean World Peace Organization HWPL met and interacted with the Honorable Minister of Law, Justice, Human Rights, Parliamentary Affairs, Legislation and Tourism, Dr. H. K. Patil, at the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University on Saturday as part of their visit to the university.

On this occasion, Mr. Woonam Kim, Branch Manager of HWPL Global–O3 Branch, and Mr. Jaden Lee, Director of International Law Department, explained the organization’s global peace activities. They also appealed for action to be taken to declare Gadag District as a “Peace District” and Karnataka State as a “Peace State”.

Responding to this, Minister Dr. H. K. Patil assured, “Gadag district has long been known as a peaceful district. Karnataka is also known as a peaceful state in the country. Appropriate action will be taken after considering the request of HWPL.”

He continued, "World peace is essential for people to live in peace and harmony. India is a beacon of light for the world through the principle of non-violence, and many nations should follow the principles of Mahatma Gandhi."

Prof. Dr. Suresh V. Nadagouda, Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, along with professors and university officials were present in this interaction.
