Biography of Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma

Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, a proud veteran of the Indian Army, served the nation with distinction and was honored with the Service Medal for his exemplary dedication and commitment. After his retirement, driven by a strong sense of patriotism and community service, he founded the NCT Social Service Trust with the vision of guiding youth towards a disciplined, constructive, and self-reliant future.

Under the banner of this trust, Mr. Sharma initiated various skill development programs for youth and ex-servicemen in trades such as computer operation, tailoring, electrical works, plumbing, dairy farming, and agricultural practices. These initiatives empowered participants to become entrepreneurs, access government welfare schemes, and generate sustainable livelihoods.

In 2021, upon observing that farmers in border areas were increasingly leasing their lands to outsiders—a trend that posed potential risks to both agriculture and national security—Mr. Sharma took decisive action. He engaged directly with farmers to understand their challenges and subsequently established the Mechanized Farmer Producer Company (MFPC).

The MFPC has since become a vital support system for farmers, providing training in advanced agricultural practices, promoting dairy farming, and ensuring farmers receive fair prices for their produce. A modern milk processing unit was set up under his leadership, enabling the production of high-quality value-added products such as ghee, butter, and paneer, which are marketed effectively to boost farmers’ incomes.

Today, the MFPC boasts over 500 registered farmer members and is managed by a team of five directors, including several ex-servicemen. Under Mr. Sharma’s guidance, the organization continues to uplift rural communities, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen the economic independence of farmers—especially those in sensitive border regions.
