Dollar ≠ Dignity: Indians Abroad Must Learn the Hard Truth

How many more slaps will it take for Indians in America to realize the truth?
One proclamation from the White House—and millions of Indian dreams start shaking like a leaf. A $100,000 H-1B fee, and suddenly you’re standing at airports with fear in your eyes, begging to get off planes. Kya yeh hai dollar ka sapna?

Do you remember when:

During COVID, Indians with visas were treated like outsiders—flights banned, doors shut, jobs lost overnight.

In Silicon Valley, the so-called “land of opportunity,” Indians still hit the glass ceiling—while CEOs are exceptions, the majority are forever “visa slaves.”

Hate crimes, racism, “go back to your country” chants—still echo in the streets you call your “home.”

Every few years, America reminds you: You are not one of us. You are just labour—cheap, skilled, replaceable.

And yet, you run with a thali in your hand, thinking dollars are gold. But what good is a dollar that buys bread but sells your pride? What good is a mansion in New Jersey if your heart beats in Odisha, Punjab, Gujarat, or Tamil Nadu?

Look at the irony—
👉 In India, farmers grow food for the world, yet our own children beg in foreign lands for dignity.
👉 In India, tech parks are rising in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram, yet our brightest minds build Silicon Valley’s empire instead of Bharat’s.
👉 In India, ISRO lands on the Moon, but Indian engineers in the US line up outside embassies praying for a visa stamp.

Brothers and sisters—wake up!
Dollar is not destiny. Home is destiny.
Your skills, your sweat, your brilliance—Bharat needs it, not America. The nation that gave you identity will never ask you to “pay $100,000 to enter.”

Remember this:
🇮🇳 Apna Ghar gives you honour.
🇮🇳 Apna Paan gives you peace.
🇮🇳 Apna Desh gives you dignity.

The US may offer money, but Bharat offers Maan (respect).
The US may give jobs, but Bharat gives Jeevan (life).
The US may give visas, but Bharat gives Virasat (heritage).

Stop chasing mirages.
Stop bowing for visas.
Stop being slaves to someone else’s passport.

The message is clear—
👉 Invest in Bharat, build in Bharat, grow in Bharat.
👉 No dollar can buy the pride of Apna Ghar, Apna Paan.

Because when the storm comes—and it always comes—only one home will stand by you. And that home is India.
