Urgent Complaint Regarding Flooding from Banda Cheruvu – Request for Immediate Action & Personal Visit

Respected Commissioner Garu,

I am writing to bring to your kind notice the severe flooding problem faced by the residents of Street No. 4, NMDC Colony, East Anand Bagh, Malkajgiri due to the overflowing of Banda Cheruvu after the recent heavy rains.

Within the last 15 days itself, floodwater has entered our houses 5 times, rising up to 3 feet inside our homes. This has caused heavy damage to household property, created unsafe living conditions, and posed serious health and safety risks to families, including children and senior citizens.

Despite repeatedly informing the concerned politicians and GHMC officials, no effective action has been taken so far.

We therefore humbly request your personal visit to the affected area and urgent intervention by coordinating with the concerned departments to:

Stop further inflow of water from Banda Cheruvu into the residential area.

Take up immediate pond dredging/desilting of Banda Cheruvu to increase water-holding capacity and prevent overflow.

Strengthen drainage and diversion measures to safeguard the colony.

Provide relief and preventive steps to protect the affected residents.

We are also attaching photographs and videos of the flooding for your kind reference.

We sincerely request your urgent attention, as this issue has become unbearable for residents and demands immediate resolution in the interest of public safety.
