Subject: Request for Effective Implementation of Government Employment Schemes at Grassroot Level

Respected Sir/Madam,

I would like to bring to your kind attention an important concern regarding the implementation of employment-oriented government schemes.

At present, organizations such as EDI are conducting programs in colleges and universities. However, these initiatives are not yielding any real benefit for unemployed youth. Students can only share ideas, but they are focused on their studies and are generally not in a position to execute or pursue employment projects. As a result, such programs fail to create tangible livelihood opportunities.

Instead, I strongly suggest that employment-related camps and awareness programs should be organized at the panchayat and block levels. These should directly target unemployed men and women in rural areas. Through short one- or two-day training sessions, participants can be asked about their interests and ideas. Based on this, they should be guided, supported with necessary formalities, and assisted in starting their own income-generating activities.

There are many less-educated but motivated unemployed people in our villages who genuinely want to work and earn a livelihood. These are the individuals who must be reached if we want government schemes to have a meaningful impact.

For better results, it is also advisable to collaborate with Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs). Being rooted in the rural economy, FPCs can effectively support unemployed youth, create self-employment opportunities, and contribute to sustainable rural development.

I kindly request you to consider this approach so that the benefits of government employment schemes may directly reach those who need them the most.

Yours sincerely,
V K Sharma
Chairman. MFPCL
