Special Ticket Checking Operation in Malda Railway Division

Under the guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, Malda Division, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, Malda Division is continuously taking several steps to protect railway revenue and prevent ticketless travel. As part of that initiative, a special ticket checking operation was conducted inside the train yesterday under the supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Ms. Anjan.

The operation was led by Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM/TC) Shri Tapas Kumar Biswas. A total of 178 ticket irregularities were detected in this operation and a fine of Rs. 80,475/- was collected.

Ticket checking personnel and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel jointly conducted this operation.

In addition, passengers are informed and made aware about the convenience of buying digital tickets through the ‘UTS on Mobile’ app and the ‘RailOne’ app. Passengers are urged to use this modern ticket booking system to avoid the hassle of standing in long queues and to encourage eco-friendly and seamless travel.

Malda Division requests all passengers to travel with valid tickets, so as to avoid unnecessary inconvenience and fines. Malda Division will continue regular campaigns and public awareness programs in the future to ensure passenger convenience, revenue security and smooth travel.
