Anjuman-E-Islam Gadag-Betageri Election. New Committee After Years !

GADAG, Sept 28, 2025 – After years hiatus, elections were held this week for the Managing Committee of the Anjuman-E-Islam Gadag-Betageri, a historic Muslim welfare organization.

The vote on September 28 was organized by the Karnataka State Board of Auqaf (Waqf) under the state Minority Welfare Department.

A total of 41 candidates vied for 11 committee seats in a fiercely contested election.

In a hard-fought contest, eight of the 11 seats went to the Inqilaab faction and three to the Al Madina faction, with a handful of independents also in the fray.
