Monthly Meeting of Village Defence Party Held at Khatkhati
Khatkhati, October 4:
A monthly meeting of the Village Defence Party (VDP) under Khatkhati Police Station was held today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. in the premises of Khatkhati Police Station. The meeting was presided over by Suresh Kumar Singh, President of the Khatkhati Police Station VDP Committee, while the purpose of the meeting was explained by Joint Secretary Manik Singh.The meeting was graced by Biman Chetia, Sub-Inspector of Khatkhati Police Station, as the chief guest, and Jayanta Sharma, Deputy Adviser, as a distinguished guest. Presidents and secretaries of various village VDP units under the Khatkhati area were also present at the meeting.During the session, extensive discussions were held on the working procedures of the VDP, rural development, and maintaining peace and harmony in society. The station committee made a clear resolution that every VDP member must ensure proper lighting arrangements in their respective villages. It was strictly announced that any member failing to do so would be relieved of their position.The participants called upon all members to make the role of the Village Defence Party more effective in promoting peace and development in rural society.
