High Court Issues Notice to Banda Development Authority; FIR Ordered Against Two Officials and Five Employees

Aima News Desk 18 Nov 2025
The Allahabad High Court has issued a formal notice to the Banda Development Authority (BDA) in response to a writ petition filed by Mr. Sadiq Ansari. After examining the documents and evidence presented before the Court, directions have been issued to register an FIR against two officials and five employees of the Authority.
Advocate Bhanu Pratap Seth, representing the petitioner, stated that BDA personnel had allegedly been subjecting his client to persistent harassment over the past six months. According to the petition, the officers raised property-related objections that were beyond the jurisdiction of the Authority, resulting in continued mental and legal pressure on the petitioner.
The Hon’ble Court has also sought an official response from the Chairman of the Banda Development Authority, directing the Authority to clarify its position on all allegations raised in the petition.
This development has prompted public concern in the region, as the matter touches upon administrative accountability and the conduct of public officials. The case is expected to be taken up for the next hearing upon submission of the Authority’s response.
