Telangana Lawyers Protest Outside High Court After Attack on Advocate Habeeb Rizwan

Hyderabad — On Monday afternoon, a large number of senior and junior advocates gathered at Gate No. 6 of the Telangana High Court to protest the brutal assault on Advocate Habeeb Rizwan Al Hashmi, which took place recently in Edibazar, Hyderabad.

The protestors raised slogans demanding swift action against the attackers. They also called for the urgent implementation of an Advocates Protection Act, emphasizing that legal professionals face repeated physical threats that must not be allowed to continue.

Speakers at the protest stressed that attacks on advocates not only undermine individual safety but also threaten the very fabric of justice. The THCAA has warned that unless strong legal safeguards are enacted, such assaults will continue, endangering the rule of law.
