The Police Commissionerate of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has issued an order prohibiting parking on several major roads in Bhubaneswar to reduce congestion and improve commuter safety. This is in accordance with Sections 28 and 29 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003, supported by relevant local traffic regulations, and aims to safeguard public safety in response to rising vehicular traffic.Key Provisions of the OrderIndiscriminate parking on major roads has been causing severe traffic obstruction and poses hazards to commuters and public safety �.Effective immediately, parking is prohibited on a number of major road stretches.
