New Year greetings: Three stories by Babai Sen — two ready, one set to go on floors.

Mumbai: As the New Year approaches, filmmaker Babai Sen brings an important update on his upcoming projects. The director is currently associated with three distinct feature films —
“Surprise: Chapter 1 – Dr. Chatterjee”, “Hum Safar”, and “90’s Kids.”

Among these, “Surprise: Chapter 1 – Dr. Chatterjee” and “Hum Safar” are already completed and are scheduled for theatrical release across India in 2026, followed by premieres on major digital platforms.

The third project, “90’s Kids,” will begin shooting shortly, with significant portions planned at international locations. The film will be developed in both Bengali and English, aiming to reach a wider global audience.

Each project reflects a different emotional space:
🔹 Surprise: Chapter 1 – Dr. Chatterjee — a dark psychological thriller
🔹 Hum Safar — a heartfelt journey of love and relationships
🔹 90’s Kids — a nostalgic story of friendship and growing up in the 1990s
