Sarayu Tata Para Sri Jagannath
On the occasion of the First Annual Celebration of Sri Jagannath Nitya Arati Ghat, being observed from 28th December to 30th December 2025, on the sacred banks of the Sarayu river, we pause to reflect on the deeper meaning of dharma in the present age.
Since the dawn of civilization, dharma has guided human conscience. Yet, across ages, humanity has remained divided in its name. Social conditions changed, civilizations evolved, but divisions persisted—today appearing sharper than ever. Tolerance is shrinking, while radicalism grows louder.
Ironically, almost every group claims exclusive authority over God and truth. The fundamental principles of all faiths—truth, compassion, restraint, and harmony—remain the same, yet humanity stands fractured.
In this fractured world, Jagannath emerges as a profound spiritual answer.
He has no form, yet contains all forms.
No eyes, yet sees all.
No ears, yet hears every prayer.
No legs, yet moves the universe.
No tongue, yet accepts every offering.
Jagannath refuses to be owned. He cannot be confined by race, ideology, caste, or geography. His very form challenges radicalism and dismantles religious absolutism.
Placing Sri Jagannath on the banks of the Sarayu carries deep civilizational symbolism. Sarayu represents continuity and moral flow; Jagannath represents universality and transcendence. Together, they remind us that dharma must flow like a river, not harden into walls.
As the three-day annual celebration concludes on 30th December 2025, we reaffirm a timeless truth:
God belongs to none—and therefore belongs to all.
