
DIITAL Launches NEP 2020–Aligned Journalism & Mass Communication Programs for Working Professionals

DIITAL (Diit Advancement of Learning) today announced the launch of three new programs in Journalism and Mass Communication under its SLCO Programme (Self Learning & Certificate Oriented). Designed especially for working professionals and lifelong learners, these programs are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and focus on practical, skill-based learning for the evolving media ecosystem.
The newly launched programs include:
Certificate in Journalism & Mass Communication (CJMC) – 3 Months
Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication (DJMC) – 6 Months
Post Graduate Programme in Journalism & Mass Communication (PGJMC) – 12 Months
The courses are managed by the AECT Institute of Management and Business Studies (Unit of Adya Education and Charitable Trust), while certification is issued under the DIITAL SLCO Programme.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Ajaya Kumar Dash, Director, DIITAL, said:

The programs cover journalism foundations, reporting, digital media tools, ethics, content creation, communication strategies, and professional writing—ensuring learners gain both conceptual understanding and practical exposure. Through the SLCO model, students can learn at their own pace while receiving structured certification support.
