Assam Government Greenlights ₹37.57 Crore RCC Bridge over Kopili River, Connecting Two Districts

In a significant move to enhance inter-district connectivity, the Assam Government has approved the construction of a permanent RCC bridge over the Kopili River at Sildubi. This bridge will serve as a vital link between West Karbi Anglong and Hojai districts.

Scheme: The project is part of the state's ambitious Asom Mala 3.0 initiative.
Budget: The estimated cost of the construction is approximately ₹37.57 Crore.
Foundation Ceremony: The foundation stone-laying ceremony is scheduled for January 19, 2026.
Field Visit: On January 11, Hon'ble MLA Shri Rupsing Teron, along with PWD officials and local leader Pawan Kumar, inspected the site to oversee the final preparations.
