RPF ENSURES SAFE CHILDBIRTH AT MALDA STATION UNDER “OPERATION MATRISHAKTI”

Reaffirming its humanitarian commitment, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Malda Post under Malda Division, Eastern Railway extended swift and effective assistance to a pregnant woman at Malda Railway Station on 11.01.2026 under “Operation Matrishakti”.
Owing to the alertness and timely action of RPF personnel, the woman safely delivered a male child at the station premises. The RPF team promptly arranged all necessary support and facilitated the transfer of the mother and her newborn to the nearest Government Hospital for further medical attention.
The incident highlights the proactive role of the RPF and Eastern Railway in ensuring passenger safety, welfare and compassionate care, especially for women requiring urgent assistance.
