
A Tribute Meeting in Memory of Deceased Friends Organised by 84 Chamatkar
The renowned social welfare organisation Chaurasi Chamatkar of Jamshedpur organised a grand, dignified, and emotionally moving tribute meeting in fond memory of its beloved friends who are no longer with us. As per its annual tradition, the programme was held on the first Sunday of the year with the objective of paying heartfelt homage to the departed souls, preserving their cherished memories, and further strengthening the group’s commitment to social service.
This year, the event was organised at Bharat Sevashram Sangh School, Sabar Nagar, Potka, in East Singhbhum district. The school campus, known for its calm, clean, and disciplined environment, added grace and solemnity to the occasion. The beautifully maintained and well-organised surroundings significantly enhanced the dignity and impact of the programme. The cooperation and support extended by the school management and teaching staff were highly commendable.
The programme commenced with a tribute ceremony in memory of the departed friends, during which all present observed a moment of silence to pay their respects. The moment was deeply emotional, leaving many members with moist eyes. This was followed by an inspiring address by Swamiji, who highlighted the importance of service, sacrifice, humanity, and moral values, and emphasised the social relevance of such remembrance and service-oriented initiatives.
During the programme, various educational and daily-use materials were distributed among the schoolchildren. This initiative brought visible joy and enthusiasm to the children’s faces. In addition, cultural performances presented by the students, including songs and music, captivated the audience. A yoga demonstration conveyed the message of a healthy lifestyle, while the children’s thoughtful speeches reflected their positive outlook towards society.
All members of the Chaurasi Chamatkar Group participated in the programme with wholehearted dedication and emotional involvement. At the conclusion of the event, the group expressed sincere gratitude to the school authorities and reaffirmed its resolve to continue organising similar service- and memory-based programmes in the future. The members also expressed their desire to visit the school again and spend more time with the children.
