Konkan Prant: Bal Sangam 2026 Concluded with Great

Enthusiasm
The annual Bal Sangam 2026 program organized by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Konkan Prant, was successfully conducted in an inspiring and enthusiastic atmosphere. The one-day gathering of selected students from various Bal Sanskar Kendras across the Konkan region was held on 8 February 2026 at JSM College, Alibaug.
The chief guest for the program was Shri Nandkumarji Chalke, President of Kamal Pat Sanstha, Alibaug, along with Founder Member Shri Girishji Tulpule. The event was also graced by Shri Suhasji Pathak, Shiksha Pramukh of Pashchim Kshetra; Shri Shivshankarji Hingne, Sah-Sachiv of Konkan Prant; Shri Pradeepji Patil, Organising Secretary of Konkan Prant; Smt. Jyotitai Patil and Smt. Sunandatai Waghmare, Mahila Karya Pramukh; Smt. Jyotitai Jape, Shiksha Pramukh; and Smt. Priyatai Achval, Shiksha Sah-Pramukh of Konkan Prant.
A total of 120 students from Grades 4 to 8, 18 teachers from Bal Sanskar Kendras, and 30 karyakartas from Konkan Prant actively participated in the program.
Inaugural Session
The program commenced with lamp lighting and Pratima Pujan. This was followed by a group rendition of Sharada Vandana led by Amrita Hadkar, Thane Mahanagar Shikshan Co-Pramukh. The dignitaries were welcomed with bouquets. Smt. Jyoti Jape briefly introduced the concept and objectives of the program, highlighting the continuous efforts to provide innovative learning experiences for students each year. Chief Guest Shri Nandkumarji Chalke shared information about the social initiatives of Kamal Pat Sanstha and extended his best wishes. Shri Shivshankarji Hingne then formally declared the inauguration of the program.
Competition Session
A storytelling competition was conducted first, in which 24 students participated by presenting stories from Isapniti with confidence and clarity. The judges selected the top three performers.
The second competition focused on recitation of multiplication tables. A total of 22 students participated and accurately presented tables from 5 to 20. The best three performers were awarded based on their performance.
Games Session
After lunch, several fun and engaging games such as rope jumping, pool-garden, and Kanpur-Nagpur were organized. The children enthusiastically enjoyed these activities.
Concluding Session
During the concluding session, Mrs. Miratai Patil, Colaba District Shiksha Sah-Pramukh, led a Marathi group song titled “Ami Bighdalo, Tumhi Bi-Ghadana.” The winners were felicitated with colouring materials. Shri Pradeepji Patil appreciated and guided all karyakartas. Shri Suhasji Pathak shared inspiring thoughts, narrated the heroic story of Jorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, and led a song based on their bravery. The program concluded with the collective chanting of the Kalyan Mantra. All students were presented with writing materials, colouring kits, and refreshments including biscuit packets and boondi laddoos.
Art Gallery
An art gallery showcasing handmade creations by students from the Sanskar Kendras was also organized. Exhibits included paper flowers, wall hangings, house models, Warli paintings, and several creative artworks, which received appreciation from all attendees.
The organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all karyakartas whose dedicated efforts ensured the grand success of the event.
