In Arunachal Pradesh, the NREGA Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) app is facing serious technical issues, as the camera is not recognizing workers’ faces during attendance. This has created major problems for daily wage workers who depend on timely attendance for their wages.

Many workers are unable to mark their presence despite multiple attempts, leading to delays in payment and growing frustration on the ground. Field officials are also facing difficulties in completing verification processes, affecting the smooth implementation of the scheme.

Users have reported repeated errors, with the app failing to detect faces properly. Poor network connectivity in remote areas and possible technical glitches are believed to be the main reasons behind this issue.

Workers and community members are now urging authorities to take immediate action and provide a temporary solution. Ensuring the app works properly is essential to protect workers’ rights and livelihoods.
