Flag Yatra on Hanuman Jayanti in Bijepur
A huge flag procession was organized on the occasion of holy Shri Hanuman Jayanti in Bijepur, Bargarh district today by the Hanuman Samanvaya Samiti. The procession started from Jamindar Pada and went through Meher Pada, Gandhi Chowk, Shriram Nagar Chowk to the bus stand. The procession was witnessed welcoming the people at various places on the road. The main attraction of the procession was DJ sound and traditional bells and drums. While the youth danced to the tune of the DJ, the sound of the bells made the atmosphere awe-inspiring. The entire area echoed with the chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, Jai Bajrang Bali. The youth dressed up as Hanuman and made the procession more attractive. Thousands of women and youth, citizens of the area and various organizations participated in this procession. Everyone from children to the elderly was seen participating enthusiastically. On this occasion, Bijepur Jamindar and MLA Sanat Kumar Gadatiya joined the Yatra and wished the devotees on the occasion of Hanuman Bir Jayanti. In his message, he called for maintaining unity and peace in the society. The Yatra was completed peacefully, strict arrangements were made by the police. Local police officers were deployed for security. The police officers requested the public to cooperate by maintaining peace and order. At the end of the Yatra, Annaprasad was distributed to all the devotees, which further increased the joy of the festival.
