30th Wedding anniversary observed by organizing blood donation camp ; 127th times blood donation by Sri Pabitra Sahu of Nalco Damanjodi.

Blood donation camp on the occasion of the 30th wedding anniversary of centurion blood donor Pavitra Sahu,

Damanyodi:- On 29.04.2026, the only centurion blood donor Pavitra Sahu of Damanyodi celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary in a different way at the Suna Besha Mandap located in Sector-2. For this, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized today near the Suna Besha Mandap under the strong efforts of Pavitra Sahu, in collaboration with the Odisha Blood Donor Mahasangh Koraput Branch. The camp was inaugurated by Pavitra Sahu himself and his fellow religious sister Sudhansubala Sahu by donating blood for the first time. Pavitra Sahu has set a rare record by donating his 127th blood today and set an example for others. The executive president of Odisha Blood Donor Mahasangh Koraput joined the camp as an invited guest and donated his 62nd blood. Dr. Naresh Chandra Sahu, Executive President of Odisha Blood Donors' Association, blessed both the couples and encouraged the new blood donors. The camp was organized by Pratyush Kumar Sahu, son of Piyush Sahu, Niranjan Patra, Abhay Jena, Prakash Chandra Pradhan, Sunil Kumar Sahu. Ranjit Kumar Sahu, Geeta Parida, Ajit Gowda and Dr. MS Dholearsingha, blood bank employees of Odisha Blood Center Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College Koraput, collected blood. Despite the intense heat, 24 units of blood were collected from the said blood donation camp. If everyone like Piyush Sahu can organize such voluntary blood donation camps on their wedding anniversary and birthday, then there will be no shortage of blood in Koraput district.
